Gmark Industries acquires Titan Plastics Group Texas Plant

McAllen, TX--Titan Plastics Group has sold their McAllen, Texas injection molding plant to Gmark Industries, Inc. a newly formed company led by Greg M. Botner former President and CEO of Titan Plastics Group.

The McAllen, Texas facility operates 42 injection molding machines, and employee’s 100 people serving customers in the Automotive, Appliance, and Electronics industries. Press sizes range from 44 to 1000 ton.

This acquisition by Gmark Industries, it’s first, will focus on providing molding capabilities, light assembly, decorating, insert molding, program management, and tooling resources to customers in the growing Rio Grande Valley region of Texas, and will service Customers in the southwest U.S. and throughout Mexico.

“As customers locate more of their business to the border region, the demand for component supply from competent, TS16949 accredited suppliers will increase”, commented Botner. “The highly capable team of people at this facility understand how to operate and execute at that high level. We are looking forward to growing with our customers in this region.”

Gmark Industries, a Texas Corporation, intends to expand both organically and through strategic acquisitions. Greg M. Botner was formerly the President/CEO of Titan Plastics Group, $175mm in sales, at 8 locations, until December of 2005, when the company sold the majority of its assets to Revere Industries. The McAllen plant is the last of the Titan plants to be sold. The Charlotte, Michigan plant was sold in March, to WJG Enterprises, of Spring Lake, Michigan.
