Band Compliments McAllen, TX

Physics of Meaning Blog Post
“We pulled into the show at McAllen and it was just wonderful. If you are unfamiliar with the place, it’s ON the line between the US and Mexico, and it almost entirely Hispanic. And they treat us like absolute kings when we go play. This time, we were headlining the last big city-sponsored show of the season at this beautiful pavilion, overlooking a park and reflecting pool. There were so many people there, and they seemed genuinely excited for our performance.

Our sound engineer used to do sound for SELENA!!!!!!!!!!!

Everything went off without a hitch. Afterwards, we were swarmed by so many happy people and their families. We sold a ton of stuff and they made us sign ALL of it. It was the most merch we have ever sold after a show in the history of the band. Some little kids even brought autograph books. There was just a feeling of real celebration. It was beautiful. After all the signing and the photos, we went to our host’s house (full of cats, naturally) and wound down. The whole night was just surreal and wonderful. There was no smoke-filled bar to suffer through. No loud people who didn’t really care about our set. No struggle at all, really. Just a lot of love and excitement.”
